GWIC was responsible for the comprehensive Engineering Design of the Loja Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in Ecuador, a large-scale project serving 354,273 inhabitants with a maximum flow capacity of 1,500 l/s. The WWTP spans a 50,000 m² area and includes two treatment lines: a liquid phase featuring biological and tertiary treatment, and a solid phase for mechanical dehydration and sludge stabilization. Additionally, the project incorporated a 1,400-meter long outfall with a Ø1400 pipe, showcasing GWIC’s expertise in large infrastructure projects aimed at improving public health and environmental protection.
