GWIC supervised the successful implementation of a 1.5 MW photovoltaic plant in Cunene province, Angola. This solar plant powers the critical pumping station responsible for transferring water from the Cunene River (Cafu section) to the Shanas region, directly benefiting the communities of Cuamato and Namacunde. Our oversight ensured the smooth operation of this renewable energy source, which plays a vital role in sustaining the water transfer process, reducing environmental impact, and enhancing water accessibility in the drought-prone area.
